Our Commitment to Safety

At Growing Smiles, we have always made patient safety a top priority, therefore we are happy to share the additional steps we are taking to make every visit to our office as safe as possible. These actions are in addition to our normal standards of care that meet or exceed all CDC, OSHA and ADA guidelines for dental practices.

Our goal is to keep your family safe while providing the best care possible. As always, we welcome the opportunity to answer any of your questions and to address all concerns.

Prior to your next visit…

  1. If a patient OR person in the household has developed a fever, sore throat, cough, loss of taste or smell, or any respiratory symptoms, please call our office at (309) 685-4444 to reschedule the appointment. Also, please call to reschedule if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  2. If the patient or caregivers have been out of state within 14 days of the visit, please contact our office prior to your visit to determine if it would be best to reschedule.

At your next visit…

  1. Please wait in your car and call the office when you arrive (309-685-4444). We will then confirm with you when it is safe to come in to the office. This will allow us time to socially distance our families as much as possible.
  2. We are currently asking only ONE parent or caregiver to accompany our patients to their appointments, please NO additional siblings as well as we are trying to keep a minimum number of people in the office at a time. We do encourage our parents to wait in the car if they prefer as well, as we will gladly accompany your child through their appointment.
  3. Every patient and parent are required to wear a mask properly once inside of the office. We do ask that it covers your mouth and nose. We will not provide masks, so please bring them with you.
  4. We will do a quick health check of both the patient and the caregiver, which will include a short questionnaire and a temperature check.
  5. We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use once you enter the office. We also have it at other areas in the office to use as needed.

After your visit…

If anyone in your household tests positive for COVID-19 within 14 days following your appointment, we kindly ask that you contact our office. Thank you!

Please stay safe and be sure to continue to take care of those smiles!
